![]() This is the main Moda Letters to Santa quilt, shown using Bella Solids. You'll need to purchase the lettering pattern from your favorite quilt shop, and Moda will help you with the rest! Moda has a version of the quilt dreamed up that we'll be sewing along with, that has 25 words, 9 filler block designs (each used x3), and a final layout measuring 75"x94". Letters to Santa is a choose-your-own-adventure style quiltalong using lettering from the Mini Alphabet Quilt by Primitive Gatherings (PRI 442), a few new festive filler blocks, and any holiday words you can imagine. The pattern: Mini Alphabet Quilt by Primitive Gatherings (PRI 442). Gonna find out who's naughty or nice (just kidding, we know ALL quilters are nice, right?) Sampler Sew Along announcement, be sure to check out yesterday’s blog post. I’ll give you a hint….if you have a fabric that might lend itself well to fussy cutting, it might be a great block to use it on. Next week it’s my turn to share a block for Moda Block Heads. It’s nice to pay a little bit of attention to the direction of the text prints so they can be oriented as you’d like them to be. ![]() I don’t believe that I have used it yet for my Block Heads blocks.īecause the heart already makes the block a directional block, I opted to keep the text print oriented in mostly the same direction (with the exception of the L/R borders around the heart). This is such a sweet little block and I enjoyed adding the white text print into this one. Our block today is brought to us by Vanessa Goertzen by Lella Boutique. ![]() Welcome to Wednesday, Moda Block Heads day!
